Our Autumn Winter 2013 Description

Ta Dah!

Ta Dah!

Spencer women’s wear is the height of luxury British fashion; drawing influence from historical and current trends to deliver a classic collection that provides confidence through flattering cut, clean lines and exquisite attention to detail.

Tailored separates, winter coats, dresses and gowns dominate this collection; the relaxed element of the collection embraces velvet bomber and biker jackets with velvet tops to compliment.

Our Autumn Winter collection has three areas of influence, notably (i) horse riding and country wear brought to the city, (ii) armour plating reinterpreted as suits and padded jackets, (iii) and lastly our muse the 1960’s model, Jean Shrimpton.

Our Muse for AW13
Our fabrics include Scottish favourites, Tweed and Velvet with mixed wool. Often using the most luxurious linings in order to make the wearer feel the quality that everyone can see on the outside. Details include contrast stitching to match linings – tartan ribbon through the lining of the Tweed jackets and studs on the velvet quilted arms of jackets to catch the eye and replicate the design detail of rivets on armour plating.

Our black on black herringbone coats comes in three types, Fifi, Jill and Clark; with similar hemlines the cut is timeless, with velvet detailing and both double and single-breasted. Our suiting or separates are available in black, cream, scarlet, navy, grey and blue. Our tweed is available in a windowpane check in both green and blue. This season most of our dresses come in silk velvet, the ultimate in luxury, so soft to touch, light to wear and with a drape that flatters.

The “Spencer girl” typically has an hourglass figure and is looking for a wardrobe that has a distinct look and feel. Not satisfied with High Street she wants to stand out because her confidence has been lifted, the fit is superb and the fabrics are luxurious.
