Happiness and the Farah Collection
As Spencer (kick-ass women’s wear, designed in Scotland) launches our Autumn Winter 2013 collection at PURE (Olympia) in London next month I am keen to share our journey (Stand N108).
Every season we invite a select group of bloggers to our shoot – those that turn up have a piece of the collection named after them.
This seasons entire collection is named after Farah translated from Arabic = Happiness. Farah is the type of person we need to inspire others and so became the collection; an up and coming local blogger with great connections – the main reason was her commitment to turn up on the day, her spirit and passion for well designed clothing and being so keen to introduce Scottish fashion internationally.
I should also add that I am a recent “Guardian” for the Happiness Foundation and I wish to share my journey with that audience.
Our Farah collection embodies a slightly different profile as captured by Ruth Walker last year: she’s about 33,” he muses. “She lives a single life but is in a relationship. Living in a city with an eclectic mix of friends: people she works with but also friends from college. Typically, though, they’ve moved out of town and had children, so she parties quite a lot with people she works with. She probably has a gay best friend and he is quite a big influence on her so she has quite a wild time with him. She works hard but she plays hard too.”
